Sebastian Sturm la sera di Sabato 26 approderà a Festambiente!
Prima di ascoltare la sua incredibile REGGAE MUSIC e di trasformare il parco in un isola colorata...risponde qui ad alcune domande per il blog!
When have you met reggae music?
In 1999 I changed from punk music to reggae.
When has music become your job?
Since 2006 when I met the JIN JIN Band and recorded my first album “This Change Is Nice”. That was the start and now we play so many shows that it became my job.
What are the differences between the first album “This change is nice” and the new “One moment in Peace”?
Both of them are strictly “roots reggae” ! I am a roots reggae artist. I am not that kind who change his style each song or album. My name, shall stand for nice and groovy reggae. But, of course, there is a little, big development between “This change is nice” and “One moment in peace”, musical wise. To me the second album has a better sound and deeper songs.
Who are you inspired by? Only by reggae music?
At first place I’m inspired by “reggae music” from the seventies! The best sound was produced in these times! Since years I can’t refuse to collect it. During the last three years I became a big fan of “groundation”. We had a lot of concerts together and I’m really impressed and touched by the power of their way to play reggae. Anyway, I got more open minded to any kind of music. My old punky friends would not believe this, but I’m also listening to jazz what I couldn´t imagine some years ago!
What instrument are there in Jin Jin band?
At our live performances you can hear two guitars, keys and Hammond organ, drums, bass and three vocals.
The lyrics are very important in your music, for example in the songs “Reggae makes the youth free” and “ One moment”. What do Freedom and Peace mean for you?
Freedom and peace is two of the greatest values but in many parts of the world hard to get. I am very lucky music gives me the freedom to do what I have in mind. I would like to give something back to the people by creating a moment of peace with my music for everybody. That’s why I love my life as musician!
